As a coffee and pastry lover, one of my favorite pastimes is exploring locally owned cafes. While it can be hard to find good cafes in some places, Cape Cod is full of amazing cafes. Having tried a majority of the coffee shops, bakeries, and cafes throughout the cape, I have compiled a list of my favorites that you can’t miss!

Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters – Brewster, Chatham, & Sandwich

If you are looking for the best coffee on Cape Cod, look no further. Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters is the most popular local coffee chain on Cape Cod, and for a good reason. Priding themselves on roasting beans that have been sustainably harvested and ethically sourced from small farms throughout the world, Snowy Owl coffee beans are as pure as coffee can get.

The quality of the coffee is so apparent, but the rest of their craft drinks are also made with high quality ingredients and lots of care. Their matcha drinks are delicious, as are their seasonal refresher drinks.

Eat Cake 4 Breakfast – Brewster

A colorful French bakery serving up classic pastries and croissants, Eat Cake 4 Breakfast is a cafe you cannot miss. Home to the “brewster bun”, a cinnamon sugar croissant-bun, there are so many creative pastries to try, alongside the classics we all love. Additionally, the specialty espresso drinks inspired by their most popular pastries are so delicious. My personal favorite is the Brewster bun latte, but they are constantly adding new items to the menu!

Mariner Cafe – Hyannis

Gourmet croissants are all the craze, and Mariner’s Cafe is the spot to get your fix! Located in downtown Hyannis, Mariner Cafe is a coastal inspired cafe with a large selection of handcrafted gourmet croissants. While they are on the pricier side, the pastries are beyond worth the money. Constantly pumping out new flavors, there is always something new to try.

Mariner Cafe also serves up coffee and espresso drinks, most popular for their specialty tiramisu latte. The delicious latte topped with mascarpone cold foam and cocoa powder is a delicious caffeinated treat. You can also pop into Mariner Cafe for a sit down breakfast and lunch, featuring pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, and more!

Hole In One – Orleans, Eastham, & Yarmouth

The best hand-cut donuts on Cape Cod, Hole In One is well worth the visit. While known for their donuts, Hole In One also offers an array of various pastries, all of which never fail to be delicious. And of course you can get a coffee while you are picking up some morning treats.

To be transparent, the coffee is decent, but not the best on the cape. The pastries and donuts are where this cafe really shines!

My personal favorite item is the strawberry frosted Boston creme donut, a unique summer twist on the classic New England donut.

Lighthouse Keeper’s – Yarmouth Port

Home of the ‘fluffy seagull’ latte, Lighthouse Keeper’s has risen in popularity since going viral for their nostalgic twist on a classic iced latte. This fluffernutter latte features marshmallow fluff and peanut butter syrup and has become a summer craze.

But there is more to this cafe than just the fluffy seagull! With calming coastal vibes embodied throughout the cafe, this is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the cape life. There is a beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy the sunshine, as well as an indoor space featuring coastal inspired gifts and their very own jams, sauces, cocktail mixes, and more! These jarred products that Lighthouse Keeper’s produce are available at many places around Cape Cod and New England, and are undoubtedly some of their best products, so do not overlook them!

The cafe also serves up breakfast sandwiches, salads, pastries, locally made breads, and much more!

361 Coffee & Espresso Bar – Provincetown

Located in the heart of Ptown, 361 serves up delicious espresso drinks using my favorite snowy owl coffee beans. The coffee bar has a modern and sleek aesthetic, alongside a cozy outdoor patio that sits along commercial street. While the coffee is delicious, this is also one of my favorite spots to unwind in the midst of the chaos of Ptown.
